With Tunnel flying, beginners can experience the sensation of freefall without the initial challenges and potential fears associated with jumping from an airplane. 
Wind tunnel sessions are a more cost-effective way to practice and refine skydiving skills compared to traditional jumps. In the sky we are often limited by the altitude and therefore we can only practise for a short time. This makes it challenging and time consuming to learn more complicated techniques and concepts, which is why flying in the tunnel is a game changer. It allows individuals to gain more flight time, skills and experience without the costs associated with aircraft, fuel, and altitude.

Tunnel flying is great at any level as it helps build good muscle memory, develop further body awareness, and reduce the effects of sensory overload from the jump. Moreover, in a wind tunnel, we as coaches can provide immediate feedback on body position and technique, as well as physically help with the mechanics of the moves and demonstrations. Together with the debrief from the video footage, these tools accelerate the learning process and helps individuals make real-time adjustments to improve their flying skills. This is one of the reasons why our tunnel students’ progress in skydiving much faster.

Due to all the benefits of the tunnel, more and more jumpers are integrating it in their “skydiving training”, combining it with their jumps. Repetition is the key, not only for fast progress but also for safe skydives, and the tunnel has proved to be the best method to give students and experts alike that ability.
